Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 September 2026. Applies to electrikellqld.com.au and to enquiries made by phone, email, text and social media.

Electrikell Qld Pty Ltd (ABN 42 625 957 084) ("we", "us", "Electrikell Qld") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we keep it and who we share it with. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). As a small business we may not be legally required to comply with the Privacy Act, but we choose to follow the APPs anyway.

1. What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, mobile number, email address and the suburb or address of the job.
  • Job details: what you tell us about the work, photos you send, and notes we make on site.
  • Billing details: the name and address for invoicing. We do not store card numbers. Card payments are processed by our payment provider.
  • Website data: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location, and the campaign or ad that brought you here (UTM parameters, Google click ID, Meta click ID). Collected only after you accept cookies.
  • Call and message records: if you call the business line, the call may be recorded and transcribed to create a job note.

2. Why we collect it

  • To respond to your enquiry, quote the job and do the work.
  • To schedule, invoice and keep a record of the work for warranty and compliance purposes, including certificates of test we are required to keep.
  • To send you a review request after the job, and reminders such as smoke alarm and safety switch checks, where you have agreed to marketing.
  • To measure whether our website and advertising are working.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the services we use to run the business:

  • GoHighLevel (CRM): stores your enquiry, contact details, messages and call notes. Servers may be located outside Australia (United States).
  • ServiceM8 (job management): stores the job, site address, photos and quotes. Australian company, data hosted in Australia and overseas regions.
  • Xero (accounting): stores invoicing and payment records. Data hosted in Australia and overseas regions.
  • Google: Google Analytics and Google Ads measure website and ad performance. Google Business Profile hosts our reviews. Google Maps provides the embedded map on our contact and service area pages, which loads from Google when those pages are viewed.
  • Meta (Facebook): the Meta Pixel measures ad performance if you accept cookies. Messages sent through our Facebook page are handled by Meta.
  • Cloudflare: Turnstile protects our forms from spam and processes limited device data.
  • Vercel: hosts this website and processes server logs.
  • Ergon Energy: where your job requires a network connection, metering change or fault report, we pass the site address and contact details to Ergon.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

4. Cookies and tracking

The site sets a strictly necessary cookie to remember your cookie choice. Nothing else loads until you click Accept. If you accept, Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4, the Google Ads conversion tag and the Meta Pixel. We also keep the campaign details that brought you to the site (UTM, gclid, fbclid) in your browser for 90 days so we can attribute your enquiry to the right ad. You can decline, or change your mind by clearing your browser cookies, and the site works the same either way.

5. Marketing

We only send marketing texts or emails if you tick the separate marketing box on our form or tell us you want them. Every message has a way to opt out. Contacting you about your own job (quotes, bookings, invoices, review requests) is not marketing.

6. How we keep it safe

Data is stored in the systems above, each protected by login and encryption in transit. Our website is served over HTTPS with security headers, and our forms use spam protection and rate limiting. We keep records for as long as needed to run the business and meet legal obligations (generally seven years for financial records), then delete them.

7. Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted where we are not legally required to keep it. Email electrikellqld@gmail.com or call 0421 644 207. We respond within 30 days.

8. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will try to fix it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

9. Changes

We update this policy when our systems change. The date at the top tells you when.
