Can I plug in my new oven myself?
Only if it comes with a plug and there is a suitable outlet, which most built-in ovens do not. Hardwired connections must be done by a licensed electrician.
Does induction need a bigger circuit?
Usually yes. Many induction cooktops need a 32A circuit where an old ceramic top ran on 20A. Kelly checks the rating and upgrades the cable and breaker if needed.
